Fast Project

Quick Christmas project in the works as of last night! Knitting two dish cloths for my son-in-law's grandmother -- will be visiting her with the family on Christmas Eve and want to take a gift. I found some lovely cotton yarn in my stash and a nifty pattern. They should be a fast knit and I like the pattern so far -- Double Bump from Ravelry.
(This photo is from the pattern. I'll add one when I'm done knitting.)

Ravelry Addiction

Just put two projects into my Ravelry profile, along with some new photos. I'm afraid I'm addicted to Ravelry! I suppose it could be worse. I love looking at patterns, other peoples' projects, articles.... I just need more time to knit all these things I want to knit! AND to learn how to do cable! Many people have offered to teach me. I just need to do it.

Folk Art Hat

Before my mad rush to knit Christmas hats I knitted this "folk art" hat for myself -- and to see if my daughter liked it so I could knit one for her. She did! And now I'm knitting my 2nd one from this pattern -- except it's in grays and purples. Many different yarns in those color families. I like it so far and just hope she does. This pattern has received rave reviews among my knitting friends here.

Posted my first design/collage-on-a-postcard to Mailart 365 last night. Fun...hoping I can keep it up. I have never felt like an artist, although people say I have artistic qualities, whatever that means. Still, I love to create things and collage fits my personality and creative energy well. I'll experiment with it and try branching out to watercolor next, perhaps. Or pen drawings. I never would have thought I would create and then SHOW anything I drew! I need to challenge myself creatively and this may be the best way to do it...
